Hunger Magazine – PPQ

In the early 90’s Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker set up fashion label PPQ which set the style of London’s fashion and music scene. It was PPQ’s drainpipe jean that dressed rock and roll musicians including Amy Winehouse and Peter Doherty.

The brand combine music with fashion, PPQ also manage a record label, 1-2-3-4 Records, launching acts including Whitey, The Bishops, The White Sport, Trafalgar, Objects and Cosmetique. 1-2-3-4 Records hosts their annual festival in Shoreditch, London. Hunger Magazine present their own spin and tribute to the brand.

I absolutely love it! One of my dreams has been to be a fashion designer or own a boutique of my own. Not many know this about me, but I sew and seem to do it very well. I have made two wrap around skirts, a one-shoulder maxi dress for my daughter and now working on a cocktail dress. Fashion has been my life for as long as I can remember, along with wanting to be a singer, a poet, a novelist and a tennis player (I played in high school — missed being on the team by a day). The cocktail dress I am making will be the start of a signature label for me. Stay tuned. I will keep coming back to see what else you unveil.
