FESTIVAL FASHION HISTORY – NEW LOOK TIMELINE

Fashion brand New Look have put together a timeline to document how festival fashion has evolved over the years. We completely agree that a genre of music can influence the style of a festival fan. Any festival we go to has it’s punks, rockers, indie kids and hippies. Surprisingly accurate personality predictions can also be interpreted from your taste in music. Here is a little musical horoscope; Research has proven that those who like pop music are generally less creative with high self esteem. They are said to be honest and extroverted.

Jazz and classical music fans are more creative with a higher IQ. If Rap music is your thang then you are outgoing and confident. Country music often tends to attract the emotionally stable, even if the songs are about heartbreak ! Rock and heavy metal fans are ironically introverted. Indie kids are creative and intellectual but can be prone to low self esteem. Obviously the research shows that Dance music attracts the outgoing and hedonistic. However I’m sure most of us like all types on genre determining the fact that we are a balance of all these personality traits.

In conclusion your music choice does reflect who you are along with your dress sense. Music and fashion help to further express your personality. We are also equally inspired by the style of music artists . You can sense from the timeline gallery that the music artists have an impact on festival goers outfits ! The surge in fashion and music collaborations proves that musicians greatly influence designers, the two industries need each other. It also makes perfect sense for a music artist to explore their fashion design talents. They are after all influencing the trends through the chords they strum.
