Firstly the muses behind the video and advertisement, happen to be girls of the moment Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos. Yes you’ve probably heard of the duo from countless culture features this month, name dropping Cannes Film Festival success ‘Blue Is The Warmest Colour’ set for release on Friday 22nd November. Secondly the soundtrack is a perfect fit for the chemistry displayed onscreen, the ‘sisters’  track is chosen from Avan Lava for Miu Miu.

New York’s City’s multi-faceted dance-pop act AVAN LAVA have been transfixing audiences with their seriously energetic monumental performances and off skitter synth pop sound.  Following last year’s radiant Flex Fantasy EP and a series of unforgettable live dates, including sold-out shows at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom and Music Hall of Williamsburg, they have announced their first ever UK show and new single “So F*kt Up” due out on December 2nd, accompanied  by a video produced and directed by Cody Critcheloe of SSION.

Beginning as a side-project for Fischerspooner band mates Le Chev and Ian Pai, the discovery of vocalist Tom Hennes (a.k.a. TC) provided the perfect final ingredient for their party-starting sound. Sitting somewhere between Scissor Sisters, Pet Shop Boys, Gary Numan and Prince on the dance floor, they have been described as “New York City’s freshest Super-Pop act to come out since Madonna”.

Having worked as Producers, Composers and Mixers for bands such as R.E.M., Passion Pit, NewVillager, Cold Cave, Fischerspooner, CSS, Frankie Rose, SSION, Lemonade, Lia Ices and The New York Philharmonic, they have stepped into the studio to explore a shared love of Prince, Daft Punk, electronic beats, R & B and Indie music. AVAN LAVA have crafted a genre-defying sound that is as inviting as it is fearless. That inimitable sound has inspired iconic designers such as Miu Miu, Nina Ricci and Dior to use their music in campaigns and shows.

The spirit of Miu Miu is captured by two celebrated young actresses of the moment, in photographs by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos, French co-stars of Palme d’Or-winning Blue Is The Warmest Colour, embody the feminine optimism of the 2014 Resort collection with smouldering charm.
