ROTATE AW19 | Copenhagen Fashion Week | Soundtrack

Firstly, how very clever that this brand was founded by Birger Christensen in partnership with Danish stylists and influencers, Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars (two of Copenhagen’s coolest influencers). All of them are on their way to building an empire with this business outfit. The crowd at CPHFW flocked to see what was in store for their runway collection, this week.

The duo successfully satisfied the tastemakers in the region and worldwide, with their eclectic taste and designs for AW19. ROTATE creates a raft of glam dresses and is apparently a response to the pair’s musing on the gaps in their own wardrobes, said to be the pieces they dream of having in their lives.

The collection was a party masterpiece, featuring options for any calendar date in your diary. This time it was held at the iconic restaurant Shanghai in Copenhagen. There’s no excuses to stay in when wearing this collection. You must go to the ball, these dresses are to be danced in!

The music to the show was complete with tracks from the likes of Erykah Badu, Rihanna, Beyonce and the finale was soundtracked by none other than Kevin Lyttle’s 2004 hit, ‘Turn me on.’

Perfectly chosen for their audience who are young, nostalgic and fun. Perhaps a ‘Kevin Lyttle’ reminder, to not take fashion too seriously and make it the party it should be! We predict high demand for more Danish brands, to be stocked in London’s finest boutiques, after this AW19 fashion week.
