ISABEL MARANT SOUNDTRACK AND SHOW FOR SS21

What’s in fashion for SS21??…Well obviously it has to be pure hedonism and escapism from the year we’ve had.

Hasn’t 2020 been a fun vacuum… one that has put celebration on hold and heightened our craving to dance and embrace.

That’s why our favourite fashion show of the year comes from Paris. A gift we have all been given from the Spring Summer Isabel Marant collection. The Palais Royal in Paris hadn’t experienced such vibrancy and big night out vibes in a long time.

It wasn’t just the collection that was electric, it was everything that it stood for, recognising our ‘burning desire to go out, dance and escape.’ High energy was also reflected in the clothing with pieces taking inspiration from disco legends Kim Wilde and Blondie’s Debbie Harry.

The show featured (LA) Horde dance collective who injected rhythm into the runway by turning the show into a nightclub that guests wanted to get up and join in…if social distancing would allow it. This spectacle ultimately was a crystal ball into the future where we can only dream of hugging and dancing one more.

Notable mixes from the evening were Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” (which coincidentally was our go to NYE track on the DJ booth) and also Digital Lover by gekkan Probowler, Numlock III by Sascha Muller and Deflorieren by Rob.B.
