AUTUMN SUNGLASSES

With the temperatures starting to plummet as we roll into autumn, we look at how best to keep those stylish sunny’s on your face.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing sunglasses in the winter months. If you spend a great deal of time outside or driving during the winter it’s especially important for you to wear sunglasses. You can buy buy designer glasses at Eyeweardock.com an online store which offers a wide range of eyeglasses and sunglasses at very attractive prices. The snow reflects nearly 80 percent of the sun’s rays, which increases the likelihood that harmful rays are directed to your eyes. We’ll take any excuse to rock the dark lenses with that fur ensemble.

We choose our best winter sunny’s for your day to day wear and help define your face shape. The first step is to decide what your face shape is – so is it round, oblong, oval, diamond, triangle, square, or heart-shaped. Take a photo of yourself directly facing the camera and use a piece of tracing paper to outline the edge of your face to work out your face shape.

THE CAT EYE

If you’ve got an oval shaped face, you have fuller cheeks, a wide forehead and a rounded chin and your face is usually proportional in width and length. Sharpen your soft features with bold, angular lines. Rectangle, square and even some cateye frames that will look spectacular on you…

We love these Versace lenses…..

THE HEART SHAPED FACED

If you have high cheekbones and angled following the contouring of the face then you’re a heart shaped gal. You must ensure the width is slightly wider than your forehead for balance (large cateye).

We choose BVLGARI shades…

THE DIAMOND

Diamond-shaped faces are narrow at the eye line and jawline, and have broad cheekbones that may be high and dramatic.

This is the rarest face shape, and the aim here is to draw attention to the eyes, giving this area more width and balancing the face. To highlight the eyes and soften the cheekbones, try frames that have detailing or distinctive brow lines – consider rimless or semi-rimless, frames or oval and cat-eye shapes.

Look for top-heavy frames, such as semi-rimless frames or frames with detailing on the brow line, Upswept styles like cat eye that emphasize the cheek bones.

Opt for the Thalia eyeglasses…

THE TRIANGLE

Broad forehead and wide cheek bones that narrow to a small chin.

A base-up triangular facehas a very wide top third and small bottom third. To minimize the width of the top of the face, try frames that are wider at the bottom, very light colors and materials and rimless frame styles.

Look for glasses frames that are wider on the bottom, Frames that are all one colour and made of a light material.

We went for the Calvin Klein specs….
