FESTIVAL FASHION AT FASHION WEEK

SS16 really was a tribute to festival fashion, calling all wet weather ravers to style their sounds. Next year’s music events are forecasted to be a muddy runway! We picked out our favourites from London and Paris…..

Clearly the ultimate festival footwear comes from Hunter shoes and this SS16 runway definitely appealed to it’s Glastonbury-going customers. Creative director Alasdhair Willis showcased a range of nylon anoraks, waterproof trousers and tent fabric baby-doll dresses.

Next summer we can expect to see lots of camouflage, reworked in plastic and festival capes and bomber jackets. Willis has managed to extend his welly boot brand and try and appeal to a wider audience.

Expect to see the ombre wellington boot on the fabulous feet of the Primrose Hill set. Hunter should act as the umbrella for all things outdoor including clothing and shoes. Keep developing the offering Alasdhair!! These summer trends may last well into winter for the music lovers.

Next up was Saint Laurent, who thanks to Hedi Slimane offered a catwalk of models who look like they had returned from 12 summer festivals. The homage to grunge encouraged trashy nineties-style over-sized jackets. A selection of silk was paired with wellingtons which dressed down the backless dresses. The outfits were a perfect day to night selection that save you from having to return to your tent for that evening nap and wardrobe change. The diamante tiaras lit up the room, it was an ideal show to watch post festival season blues!
