Frank Ocean has teamed up with The Clash and Diplo for a one off track for Converse….
Converse Inc. announces the next innovative track from the Three Artists. One Song series featuring legendary musicians Mick Jones (The Clash, Big Audio Dynamite) and Paul Simonon (The Clash, The Good, The Bad & The Queen), award winning recording artist Frank Ocean and internationally acclaimed producer Diplo. “Hero” will be available to music fans globally via free download on March 10 at Conversemusic.Tumblr.com.
“Working with Mick and Paul was a dream come true, add in Frank, it got even better,” said Diplo. “The experience was just totally awesome.”
As with the previous Three Artists. One Song releases, “Hero” is a uniquely individual single that brings together the creative elements of each artist into one extraordinary track. “Hero” was recorded partly at Studio 13 in London, England and remotely on the road in Hawaii and Los Angeles. The end result is the lyrical and musical ingenuity of Paul Simonon, Mick Jones, Diplo and Frank Ocean all seamlessly incorporated into an original body of creative work.

With a rich heritage and long history rooted in championing artistic creativity, “Hero” is the ninth track in a prestigious line of singles released in the Three Artists. One Song series. Previous tracks include 2012’s “DoYaThing” by one half of award winning duo Outkast, Andre 3000; James Murphy, the mastermind behind LCD Soundsystem and the world’s most successful animated group Gorillaz; and the innovative track “Warrior” by Mark Foster of Foster the People, pop-singer Kimbra and trendsetting DJ A-Trak; among other collaborations.
