Our new favourite band from North London have released the video for new track, ‘ Moaning Lisa Smile.’

Ellie Rowsell explained the track ‘was inspired by our favorite 8 year old girl, Lisa Simpson. We wanted to create a Lisa-type character and follow her in a pursuit to happiness. Although faced with obstacles in the shape of some nasty bitches, Lisa soon finds the group who make her feel like she belongs.”

Rowsell appears all Nancy Drew in the video directed by Ozzie Pullin. The clip shows a shy preppy Ellie attempting to be accepted by a bitchy crowd at a dance competition. Rejection takes its toll and Ellie is left without a dance partner. Unable to take part in the competition, Rowsell is rescued by unlikely looking partners (her bandmates in real life) a trio of drag queens.
