Our Monday Mix tape is a great way to discover new sounds. We compile a selection of music as the week goes on and publish it for you to hear on Mondays. As luck had it, we discovered the new Alt J tune at the last minute before we revealed our weekly finds. Their much anticipated forthcoming second album is set for release on September 22nd. The boys, who met at Leeds University first arrived on the scene in 2012 with their Mercury Prize winning album, ‘An Awesome Wave.’ Last month they revealed the first track from second album, ‘ This Is All Yours’ called ‘ Hunger Of The Pine.’
Their latest indie offering sounds rockier than ever, with the identical energy heard in The Black Keys music. Listen to ‘Left Hand Free’ below and experience an energised enhancement of their usual synthesised sounds. Expect to hear this American style road-trip anthem on a car or beer advert soundtrack.
