Tangents is the first single taken from Simian Mobile Disco’s forthcoming album, Whorl. Opening with a booming, heavy kick-drum which sets the stage for the glittering lead twinkles that scatter themselves over the opening bars, the track quickly develops with urgent intensity, building to a cosmic orchestral push.
The accompanying video was created by Hans Lo & Jack Featherstone, using the bespoke A/V system that’s behind the album’s art and aesthetic. The result is a swirling, psychedelic kaleidoscope, that will be extended into a full hour long video piece to accompany the whole album.
