Last week Lovelife announced their stripped-back EP, Silk Road, ahead of their US support tour of Alt-J. The EP includes four of previous songs all rearranged including their most recent single, Nova.
The guys remember the development of the EP, “Amidst writing and recording our debut album in our tiny space in London, we started experimenting with some of our favourite Lovelife songs” Explains Lee, who continues “We had a few drinks (gin,) set up some microphones & started making what became Silk Road. Our friend Tom with us at the time captured the recordings on film too.”
Having already toured with the likes of AlunaGeorge, The Neighbourhood (love some sweater weather!) & Ellie Goulding, the LA via London 4-piece are becoming accostumed to playing with some of the best bands on the circuit but this one’s one they are looking forward to explains Lee who says “we’re huge fans. We’ve seen them a number of times before and had a few nights out with them, so we can’t wait to play on their show dates. We respect them massively, artistically & professionally.”
