Lyrics really do have the power to change someone’s life, definitely right now too. During this time music has allowed us to travel and connect, the sense of hearing has intensified particularly during the last few months of isolation. This track we are sharing transported us to Minnesota and a field of horses!
Six weeks ago, somegirlnamedanna (don’t hit the space bar) subtly intro’d herself with an undeniable choir of vocal loops on “hello i am.” It has already amassed over half a million streams globally. We’ve been following her progress ever since.
Then luckily for us, yesterday, somegirlnamedanna premiered the official music video for “kitchen table,” snapped at her childhood home in Minnesota, using a retro VHS camcorder. A track that we envisage will soundtrack a multitude of teen shows in the U.S. over the next few months. Really gorgeous shazzamable vocals, we know that voice would have the same effect on listeners, without the music itself.
